MEET TATIANA!
Tatiana Keegan - Dance Champion and Teacher
Tatiana Keegan and her partner Anatoliy Shvarts are the reigning World Champions in Senior III International Latin after conquering a fiercely competitive field of 110 couples from around the globe at the 2025 WDSF championships in Vienna, Austria. They are the first Americans to ever win that prestigious honor.
Born in Volgograd, Tatiana was the Russian Amateur National Champion in Ten Dances before coming to the United States and winning many of the top professional Open and Rising Star Latin championships, including the Ohio Star Ball and the U.S. Ballroom Championship with Tony Dovolani of “Dancing with the Stars.” After a seven-year break to get married and start a family, she returned to reach the World Professional Latin Championships in Germany with partner Werner Figar.
In 2019, she turned amateur to compete in her age category and partnered with Anatoliy to win the 35+ and 45+ USA national championships in Latin dances that year (NDCA) and, after a pandemic break, won national titles again in 2022 and 2023 (USA Dance). In the fall of 2022, they reached the finals out of 71 couples in the 45+ world championship in Spain (WDSF). Also in 2022, they beat 44 couples to win Spain’s WDSF 45+ “Open to the World” competition and placed 2nd out of 24 couples in Blackpool, England’s 35+ “Open to the World” event. In 2023 they won 3rd place at the German Open Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, and later same year placed 4th in the final of the WDSF Worlds 45+ Amateur Latin Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
